IPS East County

This is a project of the Institute for Public Strategies (IPS), a non-profit providing services and technical assistance to prevent substance use disorders (SUD) in the East County since 2002. Our vision is to foster safe, secure, and vibrant communities where everyone can thrive. Through our work, we encourage, support and promote healthy behaviors that reduce drug and alcohol-related harms at a population level, rather than individual-based programs and interventions.

IPS East County primarily works in the cities and communities of Casa de Oro, El Cajon, Lakeside, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Mountain Empire, Santee and Spring Valley. We also conduct SUD prevention-related activities in the unincorporated parts of the East County region upon request.
